AllTray is a program that allows to dock any application with no native tray icon into the system tray. It works well with Gnome, KDE, XFCE 4, Fluxbox and WindowMaker.

Apcupsd can be used for power management and controlling most of APC's UPS models on Unix and Windows machines. Apcupsd works with most of APC's Smart-UPS models as well as most simple signalling models such as Back-UPS, and BackUPS-Office. Includes gapcmon, gtk+2-based frontend (gapcmon also requires gconf).

Cpufreqd is a daemon which does automatical management of the CPU frequency scaling on the system, using a defined set of rules, so that power may be saved. This is trivial on laptops when they are working with batteries only, without AC adapter. In order to work, it requires a kernel with support enabled for CPU frequency scaling and the cpufrequtils package.

Cpufrequtils contains a library and command line tools used to make access to the Linux kernel cpufreq subsystem easier for users and cpufreq userspace tools.

EncFS provides an encrypted filesystem in user-space. It runs without any special permissions and uses the FUSE library and Linux kernel module to provide the filesystem interface. Patched with this patch from SVN, to properly compile with rlog-1.4.

With FUSE it is possible to implement a fully functional filesystem in a userspace program. This package includes libraries and utilities, it does not include the kernel module. The kernel module can be compiled from FUSE sources or directly from the kernel ones (starting with kernel 2.6.14).

This package set contains G15Tools: the libg15 library gives applications low-level access to the G15 and G11 keyboards and the Z10 speakers; libg15render is a small graphics library optimised for displaying on an LCD display; G15daemon is a userspace driver/multiplexer for the keyboard and its LCD, using libg15 for low-level keyboard control; G15composer is a scriptable command interface to the libg15render drawing functions that outputs to a G15daemon screen.

GKrellM is a nice GTK program which allows to monitor many components of the system (network, cpu, memory, voltages and so on), it is also possible to extend its features with plugins and there are also many themes which can make it look good with the rest of your environment.


gMUTOO is a program written by myself, an elegant service launcher/stopper/monitor that resides in the window manager tray. It has been mostly thought for the launch of daemons (httpd, ftpd, sshd and so on), but it can be used to start/stop pretty anything. More information in develia.org projects area. GParted stands for Gnome Partition Editor. It uses libparted to detect and manipulate devices and partitiontables while several (optional) filesystemtools provide support for filesystems not included in libparted. At a minimum, it requires gtkmm (available in libraries section) and parted (available in this section). Compiled against parted-1.8.8.

This program is a userspace driver for the :Zolid USB mini remote control receiver, IRZOL01. The driver uses the USB userspace library and is able to interface with lirc using the lirc UDP driver.

LIRC is a package that allows you to decode and send infra-red signals of many (but not all) commonly used remote controls. This tarball contain lirc tools and all of the lirc userspace drivers, those that do not require a kernel module; if your remote control requires a kernel module, you'll have to compile it yourself.

Mrxvt (previously named as materm) is a lightweight and powerful multi-tabbed X terminal emulator based on the popular rxvt and aterm. It implements many useful features seen in some modern X terminal emulators, like gnome-terminal and konsole, but keep to be lightweight and independent from the GNOME and KDE desktop environment. The official patch no-scroll-with-buffer has been applied.

Notification Daemon is an useful application that works along with libnotify and dbus to display notification messages on the screen. Any application can show messages this way by using libnotify interface. Notification Daemon requires Gconf.

p7zip is a port of 7za.exe (the command-line version of 7-zip) for POSIX systems.


GNU Parted is a nice program useful for creating, deleting, resizing, copying and checking partitions. Second build, with LVM support enabled.

Partimage is a linux utility that provides partitions backup and restore. It supports many filesystem and among its features there are image compression and splitting into multiple files, and network support to save image on another location. The "nossl" package doesn't include ssl support for partimage. There's also a partimage-0.6.6 package available, to offer compatibility with SystemRescueCd 1.0.1.

PKGsummon is a program written by myself, based on GTK-2.2 (or higher), which allows to manage and keep up to date Slackware packages, by comparing versions installed on system with those available on ftp and by organizing results on a ordered tree graph. For more information, pkgsummon.sf.net. Version 0.6p1 has been already patched with this patch released to fix a problem with the closing of a window.
