AdvanceMAME is a unofficial version of MAME with advanced video support. It is indeed a very good project, more info available on
advancemame.sourceforge.net. In this
text file there's a complete list of options and supports enabled in this build.

--enable-freetype --enable-asm --disable-debug --with-emu=mameDOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, modem, etc., necessary for running many old DOS games that simply cannot be run on modern PCs and operating systems. In theory, any DOS application should run in DOSBox, but the emphasis has been on getting DOS games to run smoothly, which means that communication, networking and printer support are still in early development. Among its dependencies there is sdl_sound, available in libraries section.

www.figlet.org.
Freeciv is a free and open source empire-building strategy game inspired by the history of human civilization. Packages include both client and server, more informations about the game are available on
www.freeciv.org. The first package includes the GTK+2 client, the second includes the SDL client. Please note that the packages are not parallel installable, choose one or the other.

It attempts to mimic the original game as closely as possible while extending it with new features. OpenTTD is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0. To play OpenTTD, some files from either the MS Windows or DOS version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe are required. Visit the

It can be really useful to generate dynamic pages with live stats, or simply handy if you want to know what's up on a game server without having to launch the game. More information on
